Manchester United Vs Liverpool Renew Thier Rivalry (Match Preview)

The rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool has come a long way. The two clubs are the most successful English clubs. With Manchester United having the highest number of trophies. Liverpool on the other hand is the most successful English club in Europe. They have won the Champions League for a record six times.

 


 



The two clubs will be tugging it out this Sunday on the super Sunday fixture. It's definitely going to be a cracker. The match between the two clubs always come with not just the on-field clash but also the off-field banters. Fans from both clubs wants to have the bragging right.

Come this Sunday, it's definitely going to be a tough game. Manchester United have been on a good run of form and coming into the game with a massive win in their Europa League match against A.S Roma. Liverpool are currently sixth on the log with a total points of 54 after 33 games. The red side of Merseyside would like to win the tie to regain their hopes of a top four finish. 

 




Manchester United are currently second on the log and they hope to maintain their second position. They are just four points ahead of third place Leicester City so they would intend to extend the gap. No other club in the top four has qualified except Manchester City. So Manchester United would want to win to guarantee their qualification for her next season Champions League.

Liverpool have been struggling this season and it would be their worst season since Jurgen Klop took over should they fail to qualify for the Champions League. They won the Premier League last season and are struggling for a Champions League spot this season. 

 

 




Liverpool's poor results is being attributed to the numerous injuries they suffered this season. Their key players like Virgil Van Diryk, Matip, Joe Gomez, and skipper Henderson have all been missing in most games this season.

Liverpool and Manchester United at Old Trafford last season ended in a 1-1 draw. Many people are predicting the match tomorrow 2nd May will end in another draw. The first leg at Anfield ended in a goalless draw. Both teams failed to utilize their arsenal well.
