As the season draw closer to the end, teams are fighting for spots. The teams at the bottom of the log are fighting for survival. It's always a tough moment when the league has just few games to wrap up the season. There are no minnows when it comes towards the end of the season. No one could fully predict the exact outcome at the end of the season.
The top four race is a big one with six teams still contending for the spots. Manchester City have already book their spot in the top four leaving behind the other clubs to jostle for the remaining three spots. Manchester City are top of the log with 77 points after 33 games. They are just three wins away from winning the league. Manchester United are second on the log with 66 points after 32 games. They are 11points clear of the team at fifth. They are just three wins away from booking a spot in the top four.
The other contenders are Leicester City who are currently third on the log with 59 points after 32 games. They are followed closely by Liverpool who are fourth with 56 points after 33 games. Chelsea are fifth with 55 points after 32 games. West Ham are sixth with 55 points after 32 games. The three position remaining in the top four is being jostled by Manchester United, Leicester City, Liverpool, West Ham and Chelsea. Manchester United are favourites to book their spot among the remaining teams. So after Manchester United, it will remain just two spots to be jostled among four teams.
The four teams jostling for the remaining two spots are no pushovers. West Ham have been good this season. They face Chelsea in a tough game at home. Should they beat Chelsea, they would move up to fourth on the log. Should they lose against Chelsea, then Chelsea will climb back to fourth on the log.
Liverpool are not so good lately. If they fail to make it to the top four at the end of the season, it will be their first time since new Manager Jurgen Klop took over. They won the Premier League last season but they are fighting to make it to the top four this season.
Leicester City lost the top four spot last season on the final day. They won't want to suffer same fate this season. They are keen on finishing third this season. They are just five wins away from booking their spot in the top four.
Chelsea and Liverpool might not make it to the top four should West Ham and Leicester City maintain a steady win. It's really a tough one for the remaining five contending teams. Only Manchester City is sure of a spot.
